Sea of Ghosts - the final Brainlego release

After 10 years and 3 official releases Lloyd Barrett finally lays the Brainlego project to rest. A mixture of dark textures, spacial melodics, scattered rhythmns, field recordings and turbulence - this album aims higher than any previous release through diverse, yet consistent adheration to quality and application of challenging yet user-friendly composition.

From dark ritual sounds to fluffy tonal clouds; subterraneum rumble and jagged high-frequency; Sea of Ghosts is at once an audio Necronomicon and a celebration of sonic abstraction.

Elemental Sin^ - Diaspora

The mysterious Ummo )+( return with their interpretation of the four main elements that bind us humans to the earth. Electronic tones, crackle and swim through snippets of barely recognisable environmental sounds. 4 large servings of a thick sonic soup as channelled and mixed by Ummite Ambassadors, Lloyd Barrett and Joe Musgrove.

Fans of earlier "Slow Process" Diaspora ("The Unknowable" and the kettle released ummo3") will find some common ground with the 4 tracks each weighing in at over 15 mins.

Keep an ear to the air for the announcement of the fifth element: a live performance - late 2002/early 2003

Menage A Trois - Oxford Parker vs Distorter vs Brainlego

A triple-headed beast that roars and caresses with equal measure. Each artist reworks the previous artists material with diverse yet complimentary results. Not only three different sample-sets but three very different methods of composition provide for a challenging but extremely listenable hour that still manages to work as a cohesive statement.

Initially conceived in reaction to the relatively poor "Threesome" collection released by some slightly bigger names - this release is created to encourage the cross-pollenation of artists working in hard-drive composition fields and other. As such it is not for sale however...
